My name is Megan, owner of Megan Maier Artistry, Licensed Cosmetologist & Beauty Makeup Artist with over 15 years of experience in many areas of the industry. I absolutely love what I do! My favorite part about my job is connecting with my clients and educating them on how to effectively create a customized look for any occasion that compliments their inner beauty.

This career path stemmed from an artistic childhood where I spent most of my free time drawing, painting & illustrating books. I later became obsessed with fashion illustration which led me to Fashion School where I thought I wanted to become a clothing designer. Turns out I don’t like to sew! Needless to say, I switched majors and graduated with a B.S. in Fashion Marketing & Management.

While in school, my love for art turned into a love for painting faces and adding glitter wherever it would stick. I worked for many different cosmetic companies including Sephora, Laura Mercier, Giorgio Armani, Shu Uemura, Clinique, and MAC Cosmetics.

I spent two years living in Colorado where I received my cosmetology licensure training at The Academy of Cosmetology Arts in Denver, CO and I’m licensed in both Colorado and California.

I stepped down from my full-time responsibilities at MAC to have more weekends available to work weddings. Since starting my business in 2007, I’ve worked over 250 weddings. In Colorado alone, I worked over 125 weddings, led hair and makeup teams for Denver Fashion Week, and spent my free time practicing my skills through creative styled shoots with local photographers which led to my work being featured in iMirage Magazine and landing on the cover of Defined Magazine.
