Transforming the Tacoma: Body Mod's

A few years back, Chris was looking for a truck to replace his Mazda which needed a new air intake and catalytic converter. He conducted hours of research before coming across this beauty at Capital Mazda. The most intreguing part of this truck for Chris was that it had 1 owner, and only 5,000 miles on it. For a 2008, that's pretty amazing. By the time he called me to come down and see it, there were already 3 people waiting to buy it if we didn't! It wasn't even on the lot yet. It has JUST been traded in the day before. Talk about timing.

After a few hours of chatting, deliberating, test driving and paper signing--the truck was ours! It came with all new tires which we later decided to swap out for all weather, all terrain KO2's.

We added Billstein 5100 shocks all around

Had all the windows tinted and ordered deflectors for the front windows

Replaced the antenna with a short stubby one so it wouldn't get caught in nature if we decided to drive through the forest.

Along with installing a camper shell so we could sleep in the bed, Chris also replaced the bumper and both the headlights and tail lights for added awesomeness.

He also plasti-dipped the front grill and logo which is a rubberized protective coating

Chris also wants to replace the front bumper but we will save that for later because it's really not necessary right now :) Happy wife, happy life!
