Colorado

We got to Colorado on a Saturday night where we met our friends for pizza in Littleton. Such a cool spot in a hip little downtown area that reminded us a lot of Campbell in the Bay Area but way more affordable with way less people.  The next day was Easter so we got up early and went to church and then spent the day at a friends BBQ. Super relaxing and great time chatting and meeting new people :)

After the party we went home to get ready for a walk around the Platte River that's right next to our friends place. So awesome to live so close to trails and fishing! One thing we love a lot about Denver is it's super dog friendly everywhere you go.

We saw lots of bunnies, ducks, and geese running around. Also every night we spent in Denver there was an amazing sunset.

That night we went in the indoor hot tub at the apartment which felt so nice after days and days of driving and being in a car.  The next day we took the train to downtown Denver. I don't know if anyone had ever taken the BART transit in the Bay Area but it's about $12 for an all day pass and MUNI, the bus system, is extra. In Denver, the train is $9 all day and you can get on the bus free during that time. So awesome!

We ate lunch at Elon Musks place called "Next Door" and it was delicious. Great service too!

The area reminded us of a mix of downtown San Jose, San Francisco, and Campbell. Lots of local restaurants and even an outside mall like Santana Row where we're from.

We ran into a cop walking down the street who told us to be careful because a guy was coming in to remove a beehive and transplant it to his place. We stayed and watched as this hardcore dude removed the hive while the cop ensured people stayed back. It was intense!

Downtown had very artistic graffiti everywhere. I didn't see any tagging or vandalism. The streets were also the cleanest I have ever seen in a city besides Bangkok.

We walked to the us stop to catch a line to a local brewery a buddy told us to check out called "Black Sky Brewery."

Delicious beer and bar food in a laid back heavy metal style atmosphere. We took home a bottle of one of their best brews to try. Will let you know how it is once we open it :)

We then walked a mile back to the train station to catch our line back to Littleton. We had left overs and chilled the rest of the night.

The next day, we got up early to go apartment hunting. But first we stopped for an early lunch at one of the best local spots for Authentic Italian Subs: "The Old Fashioned Italian Deli"

Seriously incredible you guys. Definitely check it out next time you are in the Denver area.

After looking at 7 different apartments all over town we finally decided that the ones our friends actually live in were the best bang for our buck. We put in an application and got approved the next morning! We are 99% sure Denver is going to be our next home but we are still continuing our journey because we made a promise to ourselves that this is the time for us to travel.

It was such a great visit. We are so happy we explored the city and so lucky to have fallen in love with a new state. California will always be in our hearts but we are excited for the possibility of calling another state our home.
