We got to Pittsburgh at 6pm after driving through Kentucky, Ohio and a sliver of West Virginia. While looking up things to do in the city, I learned about a block party that was happening on Market St. Plaza. We checked it out and it was nothing special but it was in a happening area of downtown so we just walked around until we found a restaurant we liked for dinner.

Chris got pastrami and cheese sandwich with "pickled lettuce." We're both pretty sure the pickled lettuce was actually sauerkraut--which is weird because Chris detests sauerkraut with a passion. He loved this sandwich and said it was one of the most unique sandwiches he's had.

I got the steak salad trying again to be somewhat "healthy" instead of getting a sandwich and fries like always. The salad came with fries on top. It was in that moment I said screw it. #frenchfryloverforlife

After dinner we walked around the city more admiring the architecture because it was beautiful and unique.

About an hour later we headed back out on the road. That same storm I mentioned was still chasing us. We already knew about it so we were prepared. But just like Nashvillem if we stayed where we were it could have hit us hard.

We pushed through and headed out towards upstate NY. Stopped at a Walmart after multiple rest stops. We were exhausted. We had done 4 states on 5 hours of sleep on our first night in the east coast time zone. We've begun to really appreciate 24hr Walmarts. Next stop, Niagra Falls!
