We got to Concord around 5pm and drove straight to my aunt and uncles new house. It was so good to see them! We got an official tour of their lovely country home. The American dollar can go so much farther in North Carolina. It made me cry inside a little. One day we will have a home we can afford in a place we love :)

After catching up a bit, they took us out to dinner at Copper Ale House down the road where I got a burger with peanut butter and bacon on it.

I'd say it was in my top 5 favorite burgers of all time. It was amazing. As our dinner came to a close, it started raining hard outside! We slept in the next day and hung out at the house. I worked on the blog and we stayed in and watched "Hidden Figures" and had enchiladas to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. The next day we slept in of course and then headed into town to Charlotte to check what it had to offer.

We went to a restaurant my Uncle recommended called "Boardwalk Billy's" and they had amazing BBQ chicken.

I also had hush puppies there for the first time and they were good--not my favorite food I've ever eaten--but good. Then we went and got a Apple TV at the Concord Outlets after driving around charlotte to see what it was like. Nothing exciting was really happening and it was still a little dreary outside so we headed back to the house. We played around with our new Apple TV for the rest of the night and finished watching the rest of "13 Reasons Why" while my aunt and uncle were at the races.

The next day we headed out on the road to South Carolina towards Myrtle Beach. We had such a relaxing time and really enjoyed seeing family :) Chris and I are so grateful for the love and hospitality we endured during our stay---we really felt at home! We will definitely be back <3
