South Dakota

Who knew that South Dakota would be one of the top most beautiful states we've seen?  Our first stop was of course Mount Rushmore. But 5 miles before we got there we saw the most beautiful lake and we had to stop! 

Wish we had time to fish! 

When you drive into the monument, it's $10 per vehicle for parking. There were not many people there when we went because it was 4pm on a Thursday. 

There were tons of mountain goats everywhere! 

Despite what everyone told us about the monument being smaller than they thought, it looked pretty epic to us! 

We were grateful to see such a remarkable piece of American history. 

Next we were going to drive straight to Sioux Falls but we decided to stay the night nearby because it was getting late. We're so glad we did! 

We not only saw an incredible sunset over Badlands and lots of wildlife, we slept in a camping spot with tons of buffalo right next to our truck! Definitely an unforgettable night. Check us out on Facebook to watch the video!
