Glacier National Park: Montana

Woke up early and had our bagels and got coffee at Starbucks then headed out to Glacier National Park. On the way we stopped at the Lewis and Clark Caves because we'd wanted to do caves at some point on the trip but they said it would take 2 hours to tour so we decided not to and kept going. We stopped at Smiths so we could get stuff to make for dinner. Tacos and beer and ice for $25!

Then we got to the park at about 4:30 and I cooked our tacos at our Apgar campsite in the Flathead National Forest.

After dinner we went out to look at the lake which was the most beautiful view we'd ever seen on a lake. It literally looked like we were standing in front of a green screen taking photos.

We wanted to see if we could drive through to the Canada border to see it from the west cost. This was the off season so the entrance was closed but the road we took was the only road open. The Logan pass was closed.

We got some good video and saw a deer!

When we got back to camp, we tested out our solar shower on Chris’s hair and went to sleep.

Woke up early the next morning, packed up and headed out to town to get breakfast.

We were in Montana…so of course we had to have Huckleberry everything! Chris had the huckleberry pancakes and I had huckleberry french toast. Both were excellent! After a great meal, we headed out towards Washington.
