Maine

We got to Maine in the late afternoon and headed straight to an early dinner. We heard that we had to try the lobster rolls during our visit so we found a place that apparently does them well.

The place was packed when we walked in--always a good sign! We waited at the bar and ordered some local brews until we were shown to our table 10 mins later. We were standing right in front of the oysters that looked so fresh and delicious we knew we had to order some.

We ordered a half dozen of two of the best kinds recommended by the staff along with two lobster rolls. Everything was delicious!

Lobster rolls are notoriously expensive and small portioned unfortunately. The little baby guys we had though were very tasty though!

2 beers + 2 lobster rolls + 6 oysters = $70. Not. Kidding. Once in a lifetime right?? :)

After dinner we walked around the downtown area exploring for a bit until we walked past a movie theatre. We saw that The Lost City of Z was playing soon so we hurried back to move our car closer so we could catch the movie.

After the movie, we headed out to a 24 hr Walmart except it wasn't 24 hours after all. It happens sometimes! I ended up finding a 24 hr truck stop for us that had a 24 hr Burger King and free wifi! That was nice.

We spent some time relaxing and I caught up on my blogs. We slept right in the parking lot just fine. Next stop, down the coast towards Boston, MA!
